Wayfair is revolutionizing image creation. Our team's ability to inspire customers through the creation of beautiful and uplifting imagery is a key differentiator for Wayfair. We're looking for a Senior Leader to help us produce stunning and impactful imagery at scale. When purchasing a home, consumers typically prefer to "see, touch, and feel" the product in person. By introducing an entirely new immersive visual environment that aims to outperform traditional brick-and-mortar retail in every way, Wayfair breaks this mold. We will produce a large number of eye-catching interior and product images in a way that has never been done before thanks to our talented creative team, which will be made up of supervisors, technologists, stylists, and 3D artists.

 The associate director for visualization will be in charge of a sizable team of more than 60 asset artists, lighters, stylists, and art managers. They should have prior managerial experience managing a technical, active 3D team. The ideal candidate will have the skills necessary to conceptualize and implement process and technical work flows, including headcount planning, goal adjustments, and performance management, in addition to inspiring and motivating artists to produce excellent images. This leader will have a significant impact on the team's ability to grow and adapt to changing business needs. This leader is expected to establish challenging goals and benchmarks that gradually improve capability, output, and quality. Candidates who are successful will be extremely driven, accustomed to change, and able to set strict priorities for their work as the needs of the company change.

 Here's what you'll do:.

  •  Work with the director of creative imagery to develop and implement the department's short- and long-term road maps.
  •  establishing the systems, best practices, and a solid foundation for the development of new assets and technological advancements. controlling the 3D team's output.
  •  Manage and develop the newest image creation technologies, including motion and real-time.
  •  Work closely with the internal tech art team to create tools and software that will save you time and money.
  •  Together with creative directors, ensure that we are always getting better and that quality standards are always met on time and within budget.
  •  Work together with business stakeholders to manage priorities, fulfill commitments, and go above and beyond.
  •  Develop management talent and mentor others.

 You Will Need These.

  •  awareness of additional DCCs, 3DS Max, and V-ray.
  •  technical expertise and an understanding of how custom tools speed up results.
  •  extraordinary management and presentation skills.
  •  managing large groups of accomplished 3D artists for over 7 years.
  •  Ability to lead teams in their work, including setting priorities and coming up with innovative solutions to difficult problems.
  •  able to establish connections with individuals across all organizational levels.
  •  high interpersonal and communication skills. a proven track record of success working both independently and in teams.
