Summary of the position.

 Wayfair is revolutionizing the way that images are produced. Our team's ability to inspire customers by creating lovely and uplifting imagery is one of Wayfair's key differentiators. We are seeking a Senior Leader to help us create stunning and impactful imagery at scale. Historically, when purchasing a home, consumers have preferred to "see, touch, and feel" the product in person. Wayfair breaks this mold by attempting to outperform brick and mortar retail with a brand-new world of visual immersion. A large number of eye-catching interior and product images will be produced by our talented creative team, which will be made up of supervisors, technologists, stylists, and 3D artists, in a manner that has never been done before.

 The Visualization Associate Director will be in charge of a sizable team of more than 60 asset artists, lighters, stylists, and art managers. Prior experience managing a technical, active, production-driven 3D team is required for this position. We're looking for someone who can conceptualize and execute technical work flows, like headcount planning, goal adjustments, and performance management, in addition to inspiring and encouraging artists to produce outstanding artwork. This leader will be crucial for the team's ability to develop and adapt to the needs of the company. The team looks to this leader to set challenging goals and benchmarks that consistently improve the team, increase output, and elevate quality. The best candidates will be highly motivated, accustomed to change, and able to establish strict priorities as the needs of the business change.

 You'll carry out the following.

•  Work together to create and implement the department's short- and long-term road maps with the director of creative imagery.
•  Control the 3D team's output, including establishing the framework, practices, and standards for new technology and asset creation.
•  the development and management of real-time and motion image creation technologies, among others.
•  Work closely with the internal tech art team to create software and tools that will help you save time and money.
•  Together with creative directors, ensure that we are always getting better and that deadlines and budgets are always met while maintaining high standards of quality.
•  Collaborate with business stakeholders to manage priorities and provide services that go above and beyond expectations.
•  Discover and nurture management talent while mentoring others.

 What you need is.

•  understanding of other DCCs, 3DS Max, and V-ray.
•  a deep understanding of technical issues and how using custom tools speeds up results.
•  exemplary management and presentation skills.
•  Over seven years of leading large teams of accomplished 3D artists.
•  Setting priorities and using creative problem-solving techniques to come up with fresh answers to challenging issues are all components of effective team mentoring.
