A position in Finance Operations requires you to be capable of producing precise financial statements, operating accounting, and process innovation while simultaneously providing business partners with thoughtful and responsive support, expertise, and direction. Target's business initiatives and core retail operations will depend heavily on your performance.
- You will be responsible for providing the Merchandise Accounts Payable Team with strategic direction and leadership in your role as Senior Manager of Accounts Payable.
- You will do this by ensuring that the procedures and controls in place are efficient, accurate, and processed Merchant payments in a timely manner. In order to identify and resolve complex payments-related issues, you will build strong partnerships with Target's most important vendors as well as internal partners like Distribution Operations, Store Operations, and Merchandising.
- In order to aid in the timely reconciliation and matching of vendor payments, you will exercise indirect leadership with the Target India Merchandise Payables Team.
- You will use insights and data to advocate for Finance in enterprise-wide initiatives using your influence skills, ensuring that new solutions meet our operational excellence requirements.
- As you work with large amounts of complex data to draw conclusions that identify process improvements, improve accurate and timely payments to all vendors, increase automated payment processing, and deliver industry-leading performance metrics, you will drive vision through creative problem solving and analysis.

About you:
- 5-7 years of supervisory experience in accounting, finance, or business operations; a college degree or equivalent experience in accounts payable; inclusive team leadership skills; ability to cultivate and inspire members of a team with a variety of experiences and backgrounds; excellent communication, problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills; a high level of curiosity; initiative; and a desire to learn all processes to drive improvements.
- Resilience and adaptability, as well as the ability to work through ambiguity and change in a fast-paced operations environment.
