 As an accounting manager on the Channel Development/International Accounting team, you will collaborate with teams across Starbucks to support new business initiatives and manage a high-performing team that manages accounting processes for our international retail business and Channel Development. The success of Starbucks and its efforts to innovate in accounting are greatly aided by this position. A timely and accurate month-end close will also be ensured by the accounting manager.

 As an accounting manager, you will.

  •  By sharing your vision and strategy with the accounting team, you can foster a positive environment, encourage trust in leadership and teamwork, and show inspirational leadership.
  •  Manage accounting processes and provide clients with detailed explanations of how accounting affects them.
  •  Work collaboratively to improve systems, internal controls, and work processes that have an impact on the month-end and quarter-end financial close and reporting. Give others tips on how to accomplish the same.
  •  Coaching and motivating your partners to achieve their objectives, challenge the status quo, and seek out continuous improvement will help you develop your partners and build a high-performing team. To maintain and develop high-performing partners while attracting, retaining, and meeting the demands of an expanding business.

  •  5+ years of relevant experience.
  •  being in charge of an accounting team for a large, global, publicly traded company.
  •  a prior history of management or supervision.
  •  It takes cross-functional cooperation between the operations and business teams to implement accounting solutions for new business activities.
  •  clear communication in a variety of settings and formats, such as when addressing financial and business leaders with accounting results and topics.
  •  Candidates with experience using the Blackline modules for accounts, matching, and journals should be given preference.
  •  A plus would be CPA experience, as well as experience in public accounting.
  •  requires a bachelor's degree. preferably with a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
