 The financial statements for our company-owned and licensed stores (LS) businesses in the US and Canada will be created by you as a senior accountant on the Americas Accounting team, and you'll make sure they're accurate. You will work cross-functionally with many teams on significant issues like Licensed Stores equipment revenue/COGS, Company Owned utility costs, system process improvements, and significant business initiatives.

 You will do so as a senior accountant.

•  Create, record, and put in place internal controls to support the accuracy and completeness of the financial statements for the North America segment. Prepare account reconciliations and journal entries.
•  Support the capital project billings of authorized North American retailers. Assist the US and Canadian LS Construction and Receivable teams to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of project billings.
•  Assist the manager in mentoring and training less experienced accountants and facilitating cross-training within the team. facilitates the organization of special projects, audits, and work priorities. informs and advises management of issues, seeking assistance as needed to escalate issues.
•  Make suggestions for and implement new ideas and innovations to improve the systems, processes, and procedures used to prepare account analyses, financial reporting, and month- and quarter-end financial close.
•  Participate actively in cross-functional settings to represent departmental interests.
•  creates and maintains documentation of the procedures and techniques related to their job duties.
•  Look into new or current accounting principles for business transactions. summarize and make a suitable accounting strategy suggestion to management.

•  3 years of experience in general accounting in a professional setting, including reporting, account reconciliation, and journal entries.
•  The use of capital accounting, transactional accounting, or operational accounting experience is preferred.
•  Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with people from different fields and to comprehend intricate business and financial issues.
•  Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to concisely and clearly explain financial results to individuals at various organizational levels.
•  the ability to spearhead and implement process improvements and controls.
•  an understanding of US GAAP and internal controls.
•  the ability to multitask and manage priorities well while moving process improvements forward.
•  the ability to deal with ambiguity successfully.
•  the capability of successfully managing projects.
•  the ability to track completed work.
•  Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
•  Preferably previous knowledge of reporting and business intelligence tools (like Hyperion and Oracle).
•  A plus would be extensive system knowledge (Smartsheet, Incorta, Alteryx, Blackline).
•  A bachelor's degree is required. An education in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
