We are looking for a lead-level content designer with gaming industry experience to expand the potential for games on Netflix. This position will closely work with a top-tier team of other content designers and writers, product designers, product managers, engineers, and cross-functional game partners to make it possible for millions of members all over the world to enjoy games on Netflix. We're looking for a full-time content designer to oversee innovation workstreams as our games effort grows to look into and improve how our members access, find and play games on Netflix.
The ideal applicant will have experience in content design, user experience writing, and content strategy and be able to multitask while working in a fast-paced, constantly-evolving environment. They'll be self-driven, proactive, well-organized, and incessantly preoccupied with the little things. Additionally, they'll be able to present their work to key stakeholders and communicate clearly while setting priorities for their work. They will, of course, have a great deal of passion for and enthusiasm for games.
NOTICE: The focus of this position is NOT the content of the games themselves, but rather how they are presented in the Netflix service's user interface.
Responsibilities:
- -Begin, define, and direct all phases of fresh Content Design projects for the Games product area from conception to completion.
- -Discuss and enhance how game experiences are presented on Netflix (including content, visual, interactive, and motion) in collaboration with prototypers and other designers.
- -Build a content strategy and write UX copy for the Netflix Product UI to display game-related information.
- -Conduct A/B testing and qualitative research explorations, using data to inform choices about the creation of content that will capture and hold viewers' attention.
- -Note the language and word choices in the design specifications in addition to adhering to the Games glossary and style guide.
- -As needed, updating and expanding the style manual and glossary for the Games.
- -Make a presentation of your content design work for visibility and feedback to your team, important stakeholders, and other content designers and writers.
- -Define the workflows and requirements for the work in content design to encourage discussion and ease implementation.
