 As an accountant I on the Americas Accounting team, you will make a positive impact on the company's success by maintaining accounting records for operating expenses at company-owned stores and collecting information for use in finance, operations, and external reporting. The Americas Accounting team is in charge of overseeing all accounting for the company-owned and licensed store business units in North America. This position's main duty will be to support accounting for the company-owned retail establishment.

•  Prepare journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations with an emphasis on operating expenses, in accordance with applicable accounting principles and corporate policies.
•  process and procedure documentation creation and upkeep.
•  Assist internal clients with accounting questions relating to the company-owned retail business and the interpretation of the store's profit and loss report.
•  Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports to regulatory agencies, which should include a list of the company's owned stores.
•  With a focus on automation and improvements utilizing new systems/tools, contribute concepts and lead process improvements.
•  Participate in additional group projects and assignments as required to support the department's objectives.

•  A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is a requirement for employment.
•  It is preferable to have professional-level accounting experience (1+ year). Reporting, analysis, account reconciliation, and journal entries should all be a part of this experience.

•  knowledge of accounting practices and systems, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
