By designing, developing, and carrying out architecture services for the Cybersecurity Team, the Solutions Architect invests in Southwest's employees' future. Implementation of centralized and decentralized security controls for cloud enterprise, secure use of AWS services, integration with security of SaaS applications, and secure cloud application design are all areas in which this position will provide architecture and consulting. The Southwest Cybersecurity Team, application teams, infrastructure teams, and enterprise cloud teams all benefit from our solution architecture services. Implementing both centralized and decentralized security controls in a hybrid on-prem/cloud enterprise and providing architecture and consulting in secure cloud application design, secure use of AWS services, integration with and security of SaaS applications are the primary responsibilities of this position.

Responsibilities Partner with Technology Teams to create an architecture that complies with SWA technology standards Partner with business and technology stakeholders to create the technical strategy/roadmap for a business domain product or product line that will enable long-term business outcomes Act as a trusted advisor for the business, work to define the business intent and non-functional requirements, and provide a comprehensive architecture that will meet business needs Contribute to the growth of the SWA Technology Teams through hiring, coaching, and mentoring Promote architecture technology standards and contribute to S

Expertise in software versioning software and best practices (e.g. Git) Operate as a trusted advisor for the business, work to define the business intent and non-functional requirements and provide a comprehensive architecture that will meet business needs Partner with Technology Teams to establish an architecture that meets SWA technology standard Requirements: High school diploma or GED Experience is required: A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or Business Administration. Large-scale distributed system architecture, design, and implementation expertise is required. Preferable experience:

Required: 10+ years of application development, 5+ years in AWS development, security, or engineering, and 3+ years in designing and implementing security controls in AWS (such as access management, monitoring, service authentication, identity federation, network security controls, etc.) are required. Expert-level experience and extensive and extensive knowledge in architecture design and implementation of large scale distributed systems are also required.

• 2+ years working with container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and so on
• 2 or more years working with different cloud technologies (AWS, Google, Azure, hybrid, and Salesforce); preferred two to four years as a technical lead or architect, with one to four years spent working in disaster recovery (site location, regional disaster architecture, site resiliency, etc.).
