Description:

The American Express brand, global business operations, technology infrastructure, and client trust are all safeguarded against cyber threats by the Cyber Threat Intelligence team. To assist American Express at all levels in protecting the company's most important assets and its customers, the CTI team gathers, analyzes, and disseminates information about adversaries, as well as their motives, intentions, and strategies.

In support of the CTI's threat collection, analysis, and dissemination, the Senior Engineer at CTI is in charge of the technical integration and orchestration of multiple all-source intelligence sources. In order to safeguard American Express from emerging threats, the CTI Senior Engineer is in charge of developing, identifying, and researching new methods for interacting with data and visualization in order to provide near-real-time situational awareness. Fostering relationships with important partners, working with colleagues to improve current capabilities, and supporting collection management in support of CTI Priority Intelligence requirements are essential skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Data integration into a central Threat Intelligence Platform (TIP).
  • Maintaining and updating the CTI infrastructure.
  • Incorporating TIP information into other pertinent venture stages.
  • putting together technical solutions to support the priorities of collection.
  • Give space mastery on digital danger relationship investigation.
  • Identify fresh intelligence and resources in relation to threats that are either existing or emerging.
  • creating threat intelligence visualizations like trend dashboards and threat metrics.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of common security controls, detection capabilities, and securing digital environments, including host-based monitoring, email monitoring, spam technologies, SIEMs, packet flows/TCP & UDP traffic, anti-virus, intrusion detection/prevention systems, firewall and proxy technologies, and firewall and proxy technologies.

  • Knowledge of threat frameworks, such as the Cyber Kill Chain, MITRE ATT&CK, and Diamond Model, as well as tactical and strategic artifact types (such as IOCs).
  • High level information on security standards, issues, procedures, and executions across danger knowledge stages.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Effectively explaining technical ideas to non-technical people.
