 What are your plans for entertainment?

 The Configuration Control Engineer is the main departmental technical contact for any projects, modifications, or issues involving components. The duties of this position include updating Component Effectivity and Interchangeability data in FMIS and IPC Supplements and conducting research into Requestors' incomplete information. after determining whether proposed component modifications are feasible in the fleet, updates the engineering documentation.

 Essential Positions.

  •  Maintain the integrity of the IPC Supplement, FMIS, and component research database while working with little supervision by using the Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC), Airworthiness Directives (AD), Service Bulletins (SB), and other technical data to search for and efficiently change components.
  •  Work closely with the lessors and engineering to ensure complete compliance and substantiation.
  •  Help aircraft maintenance teams as needed with the gathering and analysis of aircraft data.
  •  In urgent aircraft on ground (AOG) situations, assist the aircraft maintenance department.
  •  The authorization of aircraft components should be in place, so check the paperwork.
  •  Interpret and review technical information found in drawings, Fleet Campaign Directives, Airworthiness Directives, Engineering Documents (EAs and EOs), Service Bulletins, and Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations.
  •  To ensure compliance with established company standards and Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations requirements, check that the necessary approvals are included in vendor SBs, engineering documents, and other supporting documentation.
  •  support the creation of SB Engineering Controls (ECs) within FMIS.

 Added Objectives.

  •  Frontier Engineering Component Configuration documentation needs to be updated and reviewed.
  •  The FMIS settings for engineering component configuration should be reviewed and modified.
  •  Submit publication change requests (PCRs) for the maintenance manual.
  •  Modify the part requirements in FMIS.
  •  creating tracking items in FMIS for SB and VSB.
  •  Requests for changes to the RIL and Parts Pool configuration are examined and evaluated.
  •  Publish technical documents.
  •  Requisitions for the purchase of goods required to satisfy regulatory and organizational requirements should be created in FMIS and engineering documentation.

 Qualifications.

  •  Although a bachelor's degree is preferred, the combination of relevant education and experience will be taken into account in lieu of a degree. A two-year associates degree in aerospace engineering, aviation technology, or a related field is the bare minimum requirement for education.
  •  An airframe and powerplant (AandP) rating on a current FAA mechanic certificate may be accepted in lieu of a degree if the applicant has equivalent experience.
  •  Education or experience in quality systems is preferred but not required.
  •  Strong preference is given to prior 121 airline experience.
