Job Details:

In order to join the Office of the CTO (OCTO) Engineering team, Wells Fargo is looking for a Principal Software Engineer. You will be an expert on the ecosystem of technologies that make up a set of tools in a Wells Fargo product as a Principal Engineer. Technical standards and direction will be set by you, as will architectural direction. You will also mentor other software engineers on the team, lead design sessions and code reviews, and put your hands up to tackle the toughest problems.

You will be responsible for:

Lead the strategy and delivery of solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking Translate advanced technology experience, an in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions Provide vision, direction, and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommend innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization Strategically engage

  • Experience in engineering for more than seven years, or the equivalent, as demonstrated by one or more of the following:
  • Work experience, education, training, military experience, and four to five years of experience with Cloud-Native Software Architectures (for instance: Apps like 12-Factor, etc.)

Desired Requirements:

  • 7 or more years of experience with container-based microservices and traditional three-tier software architectures (Kubernetes preferred).
  • 3+ long periods of involvement planning applications facilitated in the public cloud (Purplish blue liked)
  • Information on arrangement configuration utilizing IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
  • Familiarity with present day checking and logging frameworks (for example Sky blue Screen, Dynatrace, Splunk)
  • Experience with Jira and communicating non-practical prerequisites as stories.
  • Knowledge of regulatory controls, governance, and compliance in the domain
  • Skills in communication and presentation are essential for this position.
  • At least three days per week, you must be able to work from a CTO office in San Francisco, Minneapolis, Chandler, Dallas, or Columbus.
  • Possibility of traveling up to 10% of the time
  • $144,400 - $300,000 annually
  • This position does not qualify for visa sponsorship. There is no remote work available. This position has a hybrid work schedule.
