Principal Obligations:
You will design and construct a cloud-agnostic, forward-thinking CIAM platform at United Airlines as the Principal Architect for the Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM) transformation. Working with our identity engineering teams and leading in-depth discussions of technical architecture with Security Architects, Product Managers, Infrastructure Architects, and Software Engineers are all part of your influence. You will support the creation of CIAM strategy and roadmap by working with the Director of CIAM in Cybersecurity and Digital Risk (CDR). Additionally, you will contribute to the development of an innovative identity security architecture.
The ideal candidate will be able to communicate and interact well with others. They will have extensive experience with IAM architectures, products, and services in hybrid, multi-cloud, on-premises, and cloud SaaS environments. This candidate ought to be able to evaluate, deconstruct, and construct brand-new world-class architectures.
Principal Obligations:
- Foster itemized engineering, norms, plan, and execution documentation for the CIAM program.
- As a domain expert (SME), advise technical leads, application development teams, and systems engineers on the architecture, engineering, design, and lifecycle of CIAM solutions.
- Evaluate and advise on the suite of IAM, Identity Proofing, Identity Verification, and Fraud detection toolset. Participate in capacity planning, performance testing, and disaster recovery discussions to ensure a performant, highly available, and resilient platform.
- Evangelize the CIAM strategy, CDR Policies and Standards, and standard methodologies across teams to integrate identity
- Create and maintain user documentation for all audiences, including highly technical guides, roadmaps, high-level research on emerging technology and vendors, and solutions to complex problems.
- They will mentor and coach junior members of the IAM team as the technical lead.
