You are responsible for resolving third party rejects and responding to numerous customer inquiries while working directly under supervision. follows standard operating procedures and performs duties in accordance with the rules and regulations set forth by the employer. responsible for obtaining data on patients and medications from pharmacy systems. Different responsibilities may fall under the purview of the assigned department.
Among the duties of the job are.
- processes the registration of new patients by entering data into the appropriate system in accordance with the Walgreens prescription data entry procedures and guidelines. handles patient prescription requests in accordance with HIPAA rules and enters refill requests for processing. Diagnoses issues, deciphers medical abbreviations (SIG codes), and tracks down missing prescription data. catches and fixes all data entry-related exceptions.
- handles patient communication (including emails, chats, and phone calls) and makes outbound calls to prescribers and patients as required.
- By reviewing, gathering information, making the necessary corrections, and resubmitting for processing in accordance with the requirements of each specific plan, one can resolve third party rejections. Calls insurance companies and other organizations to request information, obtain approval for an override, or discover an alternative strategy for handling rejections from third parties.

Preferable Requirements.
- a minimum of one year's experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail setting or call center.
- a state-issued certificate or registration, issued by the State Board for Pharmacy or another reputable certification body, and at least 18 months of experience working as a pharmacy technician.
- experience offering customer service to internal and external clients, including measuring client satisfaction and upholding service standards.
- Keyboarding skills between intermediate and advanced (touch typing at least 35 words per minute; document formatting).
- Fluency in both Spanish and English.
