• As a Technical Support Associate, what will you be doing?

Your objective as an Amazon Technical Support Associate is crystal clear: to provide outstanding technical support to our customers and to investigate and resolve queries regarding Amazon's digital services and devices, such as the Kindle, Echo, and Fire TV, among others. Utilizing a variety of tools to analyze and troubleshoot issues in real time, investigate solutions, and communicate effectively with customers, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our customers in the UK and North America. When necessary, you will also be in charge of escalating the situation.

What hours do you work?

• To accommodate our customers' most pressing needs, this position necessitates flexible work hours. You will work night, day, and late shifts, and your work week will be at least 40 hours, such as:
• 4x10 or 5x8 hours We schedule based on a variety of shift patterns that operate within 24 hours from Sunday to Monday in order to meet the demand of our customers.
• Your work schedule will be sent to you at least two weeks in advance, and your shifts may change every few weeks. You will be compensated accordingly if you are required to work holidays.
• As you get closer to your start date, you will learn more about your exact schedule.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS What credentials do we require of you?

• Age minimum: 18 years old with the right to work in South Africa. Candidates must have a Grade 12 or higher qualification or an NQF Level 4 qualification.
• You'll need a quiet, distraction-free work space (dedicated office space with a desk and chair) from a technical standpoint, a minimum of 10Mbps and upload speed of 5Mbps (ADSL/LTE/WIFI/AirFiber) lines are not eligible for this position.
• Proficient computer skills; availability to work varying shifts from Monday to Sunday operating within 24 hours; willingness and ability to work in rotating shifts (i.e. early, late, overnight, weekend, and overtime as required Please verify that the address where you will be staying and working matches that listed on your profile.

What kind of experience is needed?

1. Experience supporting phone calls in an inbound customer service associate role, in a BPO or contact center (Preferred), or in a technical support environment (Preferred). Experience supporting phone calls in a high-end retail customer service environment (Preferred).
2. Possessing logical and analytical thinking, being friendly and customer-focused in all circumstances, being articulate and inquisitive, and being able to quickly learn and accept change
