What you'll actually do.
For our Risk and Compliance division, we are looking for a Technical Expert (Software Engineering) with a passion for producing goods and services. We're looking for someone who is a staff software engineer or who aspires to be one, who has the technical expertise to lead the team and the leadership qualities necessary to do so. As a software engineering expert, it will be your responsibility to create technical solutions, implement new technology stacks, transform legacy or third-party products, and create platforms and services that can be integrated with enterprise solutions to satisfy the demands of risk measurement services, vulnerability management, third party risk management, compliance, and audit management. You are expected to take the initiative and actively manage the application and service teams using your blueprint, quick POC, and prototypes.

Here's what you'll do:.
- In the cybersecurity domains of vulnerability, risk, and compliance, you will be working to create new services and products as well as migrate legacy platforms and services.
- Create scalable solutions for cloud and container platforms by architecting, designing, and developing.
- We are experimenting with new technologies or developing new technology stacks for our platforms and products. It's also crucial to stay up to date with trends and technology.
- using backend database platforms that support SQL, NO SQL, or big data solutions like Apache Spark, GCP Data Proc, and Async Messaging (Kafka) to build scalable data-centric products.
- Frequently researching and carrying out proof-of-concept experiments, getting your hands dirty with issues that require resilience and scalability.
- The person in charge of this position will be responsible for resolving database bottlenecks, resource conflicts, scaling up transactions per second with data integrity when accessed through clients like portal, API, end-of-day batch jobs, scheduled data processing jobs, and async jobs.
- will be utilizing technologies that deal with large data sets that are present in both cloud and non-cloud environments, such as Neo4j, SQL (Azure SQL), NO SQL (like Cassandra), and Graph technologies.
- We plan, execute, maintain, and automate the necessary backup and recovery as part of our operations.
- Work together across the entire risk/vulnerability management ecosystem to manage data flow and exchange as effectively and efficiently as possible.
- You will work in agile teams with security engineers, software engineers, external teams, and partners to develop and release product features that address business needs.
- You will become familiar with Walmart platforms, Core Services, and Managed Services for our goods and services, and you'll adopt Walmart Global Technology standards.
- In close consultation with the product owner and managers, the product roadmap and feature releases will be decided.

- knowledgeable about both SQL (Azure SQL, PostgreSQL) and NO SQL (Cassandra or Mongo DB) technologies.
- application and service containerization skills in use.
- the ability to build resilient, scalable, microservices, and REST APIs.
- working understanding of big data tools like Kafka, Apache Spark, Elastic Search, and Data Streaming.

- has an engineering mindset when creating products and solutions, which includes multi-region deployments, high availability, autoscaling, blue-green deployments, secure SDLC for products and services, performance measures at every level, and data security and access control measures.
- have used CI/CD pipelines for deploying code and platforms for orchestrating containers, like Kubernetes.
- Should have actual experience developing full application stacks using backend REST APIs like Spring Boot and Node JS, as well as frontend technologies like React JS, HTML, and CSS, database technologies like Azure SQL, Cassandra, and ELK.
- It takes a specialist with experience in writing intricate SQL queries, database procedures, and database, data model, and query performance tuning.
