- To support artist workflows, enormous data sets, high performance computing for demanding applications, and more, Walt Disney Animation Studios' film production requires sophisticated infrastructure and systems. The studio's vital server technology, on-site and co-located data centers, storage systems, and data backup systems are all provided by and supported by the Data Center Services team. A focus on business infrastructure is shared by the team's engineers and other technical experts.
- The Systems Engineer will support the efforts of the Data Center team to organize, carry out, and manage complex systems in the Studio's data center and associated areas. Included in this are the actual and virtual server environments, commercial computer and storage systems, sizable backup and archive systems, and other commercial systems that provide the Studio's essential infrastructure and services.
- The systems engineer will collaborate with other engineers and support staff to define long-term technical goals, schedule and oversee projects all year long, and resolve issues.
Responsibilities:.

Required qualifications are:.
- enterprise data center engineering and management experience of at least five years.
- Know about well-known high-performance, scale-out storage systems, such as Isilon, Qumulo, NetApp, or Vast.
- thorough familiarity with virtual computing environments, such as VMware, RHEV, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.
- comprehensive knowledge of the principles, products, and designs used in the design and administration of well-known backup and archival technologies, such as NetBackup, Bareos, Quantum, and LTO.
- technical knowledge of fiber-channel systems.
- comprehensive knowledge of Linux and management of well-known Linux environments (Red Hat, etc. ).
- comprehension of co-location circumstances.

- With consideration for various geographic areas, the salary range for this position in California is $93,398.00-$125,290.00 annually. Internal equity will be taken into account when determining the base salary that is actually offered, and it may also change depending on the candidate's location as well as their background, education, and experience in relation to the position. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be included in the compensation package in addition to the full range of monetary, medical, and/or other benefits, depending on the level and position offered.
