A highly motivated and innovative systems development engineer is needed by the Wireless Security (WiSec) team of the Amazon Security Special Programs Evaluations Assessments and Response (SPEAR). To manage wireless security tools used in facilities and assessments around the globe, you will design and direct a new framework. To create innovative, scalable, and creative enterprise solutions using the full range of AWS technologies, you will work with our security engineers. You will have the opportunity to put your solutions into action as you test and make use of these tools as part of both remote and on-site evaluations. Despite the fact that this job can be done remotely, it does require up to 50% of travel, both domestically and internationally.

A systems development engineer on WiSec is in charge of using technology to address problems. You will work in collaboration with partners, internal customers, and team members to understand their needs and pain points. In order to produce findings that can be put to use, you will design, develop, build, deploy, and manage comprehensive solutions that run tests on hardware platforms, gather data, and automatically spot security flaws. You'll develop solutions that have been dependable, maintainable, and optimized for operational environments. You'll dig deep to resolve challenging problems, discover, and implement system efficiency improvements. You'll hone your tools to generate metrics and data that our team can use to identify problems at scale, investigate their causes, and develop precise corrective action plans. You will examine the code written by security engineers as a mentor for operational excellence. You'll be able to communicate clearly if your code is well-documented and has run books.
