What to expect.

 Your responsibility as a software QA engineer will be to develop and verify all current and upcoming Autopilot features as we move toward fully autonomous driving. You will work closely with the development team to advance the validation of both new and existing features, and you will be responsible for recording and addressing any issues that are encountered in the field. Your efforts will directly affect how well Autopilot functions for all of our customers. A strong candidate will possess superior coding and software validation skills in addition to strong attention to detail, a self-driven attitude, and a passion for creating the highest caliber software.

 Your Action Plan.

•  Create and validate features like Autosteer, Navigate on Autopilot, Smart Summon, and others to help Tesla's Autopilot develop into a fully autonomous driving system.
•  Perform different tiers of system testing, including in-vehicle testing, hardware-in-the-loop automation, functional, stress, and performance tests.
•  Make use of Tesla's extensive telemetry pipeline to monitor field Autopilot performance.
•  Create tools and automation to improve the performance of the validation team.
•  Make test plans that take into account efficient test techniques for both new and existing features.
•  Analyze issues discovered during your tests or issues reported by others to identify problems, which you can then use to fix issues and validate software changes in close collaboration with firmware developers.
•  Verify software complies with internal and external requirements by looking over the system requirements for testability.

•  The annual salary ranges from $104,000 to $348,000 plus bonuses, cash and stock awards, and benefits.
