 The Privacy and Data Protection Engineering team encourages privacy-enhancing designs, establishes engineering standards, and develops systems to ensure Netflix is handling data responsibly.  Its purpose.

 We are looking for a software engineer to create privacy engineering solutions that protect the entire Netflix infrastructure. In this position, you will collaborate closely with other software engineers, data scientists, and TPMs to design, prototype, develop, deploy, and improve data cataloging, detection, and metadata systems at scale. This position offers the chance to work in a variety of settings, including distributed systems, data streaming, and data warehouses. You will have the freedom to innovate, deal with challenging problems, and significantly advance the business.

 Preferred historical context:

•  Your concern for privacy and data protection is great. But prior experience with privacy engineering is not required.
•  You are a skilled software engineer with a solid understanding of Java.
•  You are skilled at developing software, automation, and services.
•  You tend to move quickly and feel at ease navigating uncertain circumstances.
•  You're eager to learn new technologies, advance your career, and show excellence.

 I enjoy having:

•  You have experience working with large amounts of data when using SQL (or any variant).
•  Utilizing big data technologies (Hive, Presto, Spark, Flink), you have created data pipelines for medium- to large-scale data sets.
