To further this objective, we are looking for an AI software engineer to join the innovation team. From our complex global operation to the online booking process, we work on projects for the entire business. We're looking for someone who is passionate about applying machine learning and artificial intelligence to tackle challenging problems in the real world.
How would you answer?
- Working with a team of engineers and our partners across divisions, identify and define business problems that can be solved by artificial intelligence.
- Participate actively in the creation of a plan for the infrastructure, tools, and frameworks that your team will use for its artificial intelligence solution proof-of-concepts and pilots.
- Develop proof-of-concepts and prototypes that can be used to show how artificial intelligence will affect Delta's various business divisions.
- To facilitate rapid prototyping, create some reusable models or solutions.
- Adopt an AI-first mindset to help Delta democratize AI.

- Our engineering, design, and strategy teams are made up of a variety of people. We believe we can simplify travel, even though it can be complicated.

Minimum requirements: WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED.
- a three to four year course of study or career in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
- knowledge of at least one general-purpose programming language, such as but not limited to: Python, R, Java, C++, or C.
- Significant Python programming experience is required, as is familiarity with the intricate Python software development processes.
- expertise in areas like classification, pattern recognition, sentiment analysis, natural language processing, and others.
- experience creating AI applications with frameworks like TensorFlow, Microsoft CNTK, scikit, Keras, Caffe, Gluon, Torch, SageMaker, and Azure AI.
- Web development know-how in UI and API.
- Presentation to technically minded audiences: familiarity and experience.
