 We are in charge of the complete digital and physical guest experience for all technology- and digital-led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation, and Merchandise lines of business.

 This position is part of the Retail and Restaurant Commerce division of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Tech and Digital.

 We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is passionate about producing excellent products for the benefit of the cast experience. The Sr Software Engineer will work on updating the Reporting functionality for our Point of Sale system, so they must have overlapping knowledge of development, engineering, data, and Tableau.

 The ideal candidate will be able to conceptualize, design, develop, test, and implement software fixes, enhancements, components, and/or new software systems and applications that range in complexity from low to high while maintaining standards and scalability.

  •  Deliver a user-friendly and efficient reporting system for the line of business by combining front-end and back-end code with Tableau dashboards.
  •  owns the creation of new software applications, systems, parts, upgrades, and fixes.
  •  Component development is driven by the work of one's self and other engineers.
  •  produces technically sound solutions that affect both present and future developments.

  •  years of expertise using Tableau for report design and improvement.

  •  It takes skill to plan and implement RESTful APIs, ideally within an OAuth security framework.
  •  knowledge of continuous delivery's guiding principles.
  •  Software performance enhancements (memory, CPU, scaling, etc. ).
  •  Excellent and in-depth expertise in the design of modern, highly scalable applications.

 Preferred qualifications include.

  •  Experience with environments and programs related to point-of-sale is a requirement.
  •  Having knowledge of working for large corporations and the adaptability of startups.
  •  an understanding of how to develop use case-driven software using Agile Software Development and Test Driven Development.
