In order to collaborate with engineering teams developing important services, the Apple Cloud Security Red Team, the group responsible for iCloud services and the infrastructure that supports them, is seeking security engineers. To safeguard ACS, you will work together with developers, site reliability engineers, and security teams.
Complete end-to-end security assurance tasks, such as *extensive* manual security testing, will be a part of your work. Red Team refers to Apple's highly skilled security specialists. The critical ACS services and infrastructure are the focus of the ACS Security Red Team's deep technical security review work. You will carry out narrowly focused pentests in this position with the goal of discovering brand-new security flaws and spotting opportunities for systemic improvement. By listing vulnerabilities within appropriate attack surfaces, you'll assist objectively focused Red Team exercises.
To keep Apple's services secure for our customers, you will collaborate with partner teams in security engineering, privacy, detection, and design review. We'd like to speak with you if you enjoy delving deep into a complicated and significant system and gradually improving its security.
Important Characteristics.
- Software engineering or information security experience of at least six years.
- Discovering and using brand-new security flaws in infrastructure and applications in Linux and Cloud environments took four or more of those years.
- knowledge of Linux security and cloud computing.

- logical reasoning skills when it comes to infrastructure or large-scale applications' security.

Description.
You will define the scope of this position and oversee targeted security reviews of critical internet-scale applications and enabling infrastructure. You will contribute to defining, documenting, and automating security best practices as well as advocating for platform-wide security improvements to raise the bar for security for all Apple engineering teams. Expect no easy vulnerabilities; our services have been tested and hardened.

Earnings & Benefits.
- Base pay is one component of the overall compensation at Apple and is subject to a range. This gives you the chance to advance as you gain experience and competence in a position. Your base salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The base salary range for this position is between $144,500 and $250,000.
