 Our GraphQL Platforms team is building one of the fundamental data platforms that will power all of Wayfair's frontends using cutting-edge technology. The federated ecosystem already handles more than 10 billion requests each month, despite the fact that Wayfair only recently switched to GraphQL. The Wayfair GraphQL team has been invited to professional conferences and local events, and it has influenced the development of the larger federated GraphQL specification.  What You'll Carry Out Is.

  •  creating the product strategy, roadmap, and discovery for the GraphQL Platform.
  •  Establish a long-term vision for a technical transformation that affects every aspect of Wayfair.

 You will require.

  •  I have more than seven years of management experience with a focus on data-driven product discovery. working with technical products and managing cross-organizational projects.
  •  You've managed platforms before, and you know how to identify capabilities that are generic but still meet the specific needs of different clients. Ideas can also be transformed into a roadmap and vision for the platform's potential.
  •  You are able to follow conversations that are extremely technical and collaborate well with your engineers to create the architecture.
  •  working with a clientele that is primarily comprised of internal team members of the business, or an interest in product managing development platforms.
  •  working on a large scale (with a lot of web traffic and developers).
  •  recognizing problems with latency, scalability, availability, and flame graphs as they relate to performance and quality.
  •  Strong communication skills; able to converse comfortably with engineers as well as explain complex technical concepts to audiences who are not technically savvy.
  •  federated GraphQL's usability (keywords: federated, Apollo, gateway, router, schema registry, operation registry).
  •  proficiency in the conversion to service-based architectures.
  •  The development of measurable objectives (KPIs) and familiarity with the OKR planning model are two prerequisites.

 The salary range for this position is $161,000 to $172,000, but the base pay may vary depending on factors like location, knowledge, skills, and experience related to the job, in addition to other factors. In addition to a full array of financial, medical, and/or other benefits, the compensation package for the position may also include restricted stock units. This data is being provided pursuant to the California Equal Pay Act.

 

 There's a chance that this position won't be found in one of our offices in Boston, Mountain View, Austin, Seattle, or Toronto. It's also acceptable to be wholly remote.
