 Using cutting-edge hardware, our GraphQL Platforms team is building one of the core data platforms that will power all of Wayfair's frontends. Despite the fact that Wayfair is still early in the GraphQL transition, the federated ecosystem already handles more than 10 billion requests each month. The larger federated GraphQL specification has been influenced by the participation of the Wayfair GraphQL team in community events and conferences.  Here's what you'll do:.

 You will need the following.

  •  I have more than seven years of management experience with a focus on data-driven product discovery. a track record of managing technical products and cross-organizational projects.
  •  You have experience managing platforms and can identify generic capabilities that cater to the specific needs of clients, turning ideas into a vision and a roadmap for the platform's potential.
  •  When collaborating with your engineers to create the architecture, you are able to take part in highly technical discussions.
  •  working with clients who have knowledge of or an interest in product managing development platforms and are primarily comprised of teams within the business.
  •  experience scaling operations (with extremely high developer and web traffic).
  •  Understanding of quality and performance issues (latency, scalability, availability, and flame graphs).
  •  Strong communication skills; able to converse comfortably with engineers as well as explain complex technical concepts to audiences who are not technically savvy.
  •  The terms federation, Apollo, gateway, router, operation registry, schema registry, and GraphQL should all be understood.

 Although the base pay offered may change depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, the salary range for this position is $161,000 to $172,000. In addition to a comprehensive package of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, the compensation package for the job may also include restricted stock units, depending on the position being offered. This information is being made available in accordance with the California Equal Pay Act.

 This position can be filled in the Boston, Mountain View, Austin, Seattle, or Toronto offices. It's also acceptable to be wholly remote.
