- The Data Discovery (BigID) engineer will implement BigID across AA and manage the BigID platform as a member of the Data Discovery team under Asset Management. While working with Data Discovery analysts and the enterprise platform teams to comb through enterprise structured and unstructured data sources, this person will collaborate with the Data Privacy and Governance teams.
What you're about to do.

The prerequisites are a background in education and work.
- a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, technology, information systems (CIS/MIS), engineering, or a technical field closely related to it, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- engineer with three years of systems or infrastructure experience.
- skills in PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and MongoDB administration.
- for three years using the BigID platform.
- Administration of Kubernetes, Docker containers, and Azure Kubernetes services must be practical experience.
- knowledge of the various Azure technologies in practice.
- a working understanding of DevOps automation.
Education and prior work experience are preferred qualifications.
- fundamental knowledge of data management concepts like data governance, data privacy, and data governance.
- understanding of how to integrate using APIs.
- having knowledge of the onboarding of various data sources in a large-scale enterprise setting.
- knowing how to classify data and determine its sensitivity from sources of both structured and unstructured data.
Certifications, licenses, and skills.
- Knowledge of programming and scripting languages like BASH, Python, VBS, or PowerShell is an example.
- Knowledge of Perl, Python, C, C++, Java, Bash and Shell, or Batch programming or scripting is a plus.
