Accountabilities list.
Customer information on rates, flight schedules, policies, and routings for Alaska Airlines (AS), Horizon Air (QX), Sky West (OO), and our Alliance partners is the responsibility of the Reservations Sales Agent (RSA). As a member of the reservations team, this individual contributor role confirms reservations and makes necessary changes to reservations and tickets. They also check for space availability. This position is union-represented and telecommutable.
Essential Tasks.
- perform a variety of guest service tasks via different channels, including:.
- Identify the needs of the visitor and match those needs with Alaska Airlines' features and benefits by responding to incoming questions.
- Answer inquiries from customers regarding every facet of their journey on Alaska Airlines or with one of our partners in transportation.
- Make new reservations or changes to already made ones for scheduled domestic and international flights.
- Support visitor navigation on mobile devices and websites technically.
- Handle visitors' questions, complaints, and inquiries with the utmost respect and professionalism to solve issues during the first interaction.
- To support daily operations and visitors, work within a variety of sophisticated computer systems.
- proactive in creating an environment for visitors that is friendly and customer-focused.
Skills, education, and training appropriate for the position.
Required.
- two years of experience in either customer service or volunteer work.
- Excellent communication skills, including a pleasant and professional phone manner as well as clear, pleasant, and polite verbal and written communication with the proper grammar, tone, and pronunciation.
- Excellent communication skills (e. g. verbally, in writing, and orally).
- demonstrated skill and agility when using, implementing, and navigating new and quickly evolving technologies and applications on handheld and other multi-media devices.
- a proven ability to learn new information quickly and comprehend job-related policies, procedures, company goods, services, and promotions.

- Knowledge of the keyboard, Microsoft Office programs, and general computer software (e. g. Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

- Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule in a 24/7/365 operation, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Ability and willingness to work remotely from home in the state mentioned in the job posting. The need for some office time exists.
