What you'll actually do.

 As a Principal Engineer for the Member Access Platform division of Sams AdTech, you will be in charge of creating extremely efficient AdTech platforms to support our future expansion in the advertising space. You will have the chance to take part in the process that enables omni-channel advertising strategies for millions of Sam's Club members and enhances the productivity of our business team as the MAP business grows quickly.

 Working closely with engineering leadership, this position will define the target state architecture for MAP Operational Systems. We are looking for visionaries who have had significant experience leading large-scale engineering initiatives, preferably in the adtech space.

•  It is important to direct and shape the general technical strategy's direction.
•  Establish a technical vision and strategy that is concise and in line with the organizational business goals and objectives.
•  Set up systems at production scale to distribute advertisements to millions of users.
•  Establish operational frameworks that boost the output of our ad operations team.
•  To recognize and fix complex issues, collaborate with other departments and stakeholders.

 What you'll be bringing is.

•  Over ten years in the software industry have been spent building distributed systems.
•  RESTful microservice development in Java and Python requires extensive practical experience.
•  3+ years of proven work experience creating scalable and useful web applications with React, Javascript, CSS, and HTML.
•  five or more years of experience collaborating with engineering leadership on the assessment, counsel, and architecture of technological solutions.
•  having technical solution architecture and design leadership knowledge.
•  experience in overseeing a team of software engineers.
•  Strong scale-up experience with Microservices, Spark, Flink, Storm, and Kafka Connect for near-real-time stream processing.
•  having knowledge of Kubernetes container technologies, like Docker.
•  creating, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GCP technologies.
•  familiarity with third-party server-side frameworks like Django and Sprint Boot.
•  familiarity with distributed databases like Dynamo, Cassandra, MySQL, CosmosDB, Spanner, etc.
•  outstanding communication and leadership skills.
•  Set sensible priorities for your tasks, and effectively oversee several projects.
