You will be responsible for developing highly efficient AdTech platforms as a Principal Engineer within the Member Access Platform organization (Sams AdTech), which will support our ongoing expansion in the Ads Space. You will have the opportunity to be a part of the journey that supports omni-channel advertising strategies for millions of Sam's Club members and contributes to operational efficiencies for our business team members. The MAP business is expanding rapidly.

The target state architecture for MAP Operational Systems will be defined by this position, which will have direct communication with Engineering leadership. We are looking for visionaries who have extensive experience leading engineering projects of a significant scale, preferably in the adtech sector.

The Team:
How you'll act:

Develop and communicate a clear technical vision and strategy that is in line with the business goals and objectives of the organization. Build production-scale systems that serve ads to millions of customers. Build operational systems that improve our Ad Operations team's productivity. Work with other departments and stakeholders to identify and solve complex problems.

Strong hands-on experience developing RESTful microservices in Java and Python, 12 years or more of software development experience, 3 years or more of proven work experience designing scalable and efficient web applications using React, Javascript, CSS, and HTML, and 5 years or more of experience evaluating, advising, and architecting technology solutions in collaboration with engineering leadership Experience in Technical Solutions Architecture and design leadership

Knowledge of managing a group of Software Engineers.
Strong experience with container technologies like Docker on Kubernetes and near-real-time stream processing at scale (such as Micro-services, Spark, Flink, Storm, and Kafka Connect).

• Experience utilizing third-party server side frameworks like Sprint Boot and Django Experience with relational, document, and distributed databases (Cassandra, MySQL, CosmosDB, Spanner, or Dynamo) Excellent communication and leadership skills Manage multiple projects effectively and effectively prioritize tasks
