- To deliver the Costco performance testing model in an agile and iterative manner, performance test analysts must take part. Evaluation of a performance request, planning, scripting, executing, and reporting are the five main deliverables of the performance testing model. As a shared service, the performance testing team supports each and every line of Costco's products. The primary objective of the team is to support the delivery of platforms, solutions, and/or applications that adhere to and/or surpass SLAs for IT and business performance. Performance Test Analysts from different organizations must collaborate as a shared service in order to set the right performance metrics and benchmarks for the systems under test, which may be on-premises, in the Cloud, or hybrid. ROLE.
- creates, develops, and maintains performance test scenarios and scripts that are reliable, reusable, and efficient and that meet the requirements laid out in the performance test plan.
- creates and communicates precise projections for the usage of performance resources and testing schedules.
- Analyzes pertinent business content, participates in requirement and use case reviews, and collaborates with the project team to determine the need for performance testing.
- Work with resources from IT and the business to define and create performance test objectives, test environments, and test data requirements.
- assembles transaction and workload data for performance testing and analyzes business metrics.
- performs activities related to performance testing throughout the course of a project.
- analyzes and documents project-relevant performance metrics from backend systems, network and monitoring tools, and automated performance test tools.
- performs performance flaw analysis, logging, and tracking, ensures that flaws are fixed, and tests any code modifications discovered during the performance testing phase.
- analyzes and displays test execution outcomes as well as performance metrics.
- creates and maintains performance testing-related quality assurance documentation.
- creates standardized performance testing policies, practices, and documentation standards and ensures they are followed.
- ensures that the outputs meet the required performance, which aids the code review process.
- controls the coding standards for source code, version control, and deployment.
- develops and evaluates potential solutions, implements those solutions after careful consideration, and frequently foresees issues before they arise or before they get worse.
- Performance QA status is prepared and reported once per week.

REQUIRED.
- 3+ years of software development experience with real-world applications.
- experience in performance testing that has accumulated over the course of at least two years.
- programming in objects for at least a year.
- demonstrated proficiency in Java, C, C++, or a language similar to those.
- experience with automation or performance testing software.
- knowledge of performance testing methods and techniques.
- knowledgeable about writing performance test scripts and scenarios that accurately reflect the project's development and testing requirements.
- Automated test script customization is done using programming languages.
- Working well with technical teams and subject-matter specialists (architects, system designers, operations, etc. ) to resolve problems brought on by performance testing.
- being able to write complex documents that still effectively, succinctly, and thoroughly explain technical concepts to Costco's stakeholders and the business community.
- Innovative, artistic, amazingly responsive, and very conscious of time restraints.
- It is preferred to have solid experience with both the Waterfall and Agile SDLCs.
- a thorough understanding of on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
- good familiarity with caching and load balancing models.
- responsible, diligent, and capable of working well without much direction.
Recommended.
- a four-year degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
- a working knowledge of monitoring programs like SCOM, Dynatrace, and Splunk.
- knowledge of Oracle, MS SQL, or DB2.
- experience with scripting, scenario creation and execution, performance metric collection and analysis, and load testing using MicroFocus Loadrunner or a comparable tool.
- having the capacity to pick up new protocols quickly, as well as practical knowledge of running and maintaining scripts using various protocols.
- It is preferred that you have prior knowledge of Java/C programming.
- possessing expertise in mobile performance testing and/or automated QA testing.
- understanding how to performance test PowerBI reports.
- knowledge of Microsoft Azure at a basic level.
- knowledge and practical experience with the SAFe Agile Framework.
- knowledge of MicroFocus WebDev.
- working knowledge of F5 load balancing and Akamai caching.
- familiarity with ERP tools like SAP.
- Candidates with knowledge of HP ALM, Visual Studio Team Test, and Team Foundation Server should be given preference.
- Experience in creating and testing web services is preferred.
- Understanding of XML, SOAP, and WSDL is preferred.
