 The roles are summarized.

 For one to two of the following divisions: Flight Ops, Dispatch, Inflight, Maintenance, and Airports, the Manager, Quality Assurance at Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air is responsible for carrying out the plan for the quality assurance programs. In their role as a people leader, the Manager, QA leads and establishes priorities for the team to audit process risks, assess operational performance and compliance, monitor emerging risks, and uphold strict standards of audit methodology.

 Vital Tasks.

  •  focuses on delegation for challenging tasks, growing and developing the team for capacity and growth, looking at performance across the team, and time management. Establishes priorities and manages a team of QA auditors.
  •  maintains a training program to produce auditors who are fact-finders, risk-focused, flexible in their approach to problem-solving, and unwavering in matters of compliance and safety.
  •  applies a quality control and compliance strategy to identify, stop, and deal with noncompliance.
  •  speaks clearly to everyone in the organization, especially senior leadership.
  •  produces official written reports and data summaries that are backed up by sufficient evidence to support audit conclusions about the effectiveness and sufficiency of internal control systems.
  •  participates in the evaluation of QA risk, evaluates coverage levels, and proposes one or more annual audit plans.
  •  ensures compliance with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and Alaska Airlines/Horizon Air policies by supervising and making decisions regarding the standards and checklists developed by the auditors.
  •  examines audit records and reports to determine the thoroughness of audits, the accuracy of root cause determination, and the development, tracking, closure, and follow-up of effective corrective and preventive actions.
  •  works in partnership with auditors to find solutions to audit findings that are thorough, durable, and capable of preventing future non-compliance.
  •  by assessing them, confirm that management's corrective measures were successful in addressing and resolving the findings.
  •  the Safety Review Board (SRB) and the Data Analysis Group (DAG) by providing summaries of data collection, root cause analysis, and trend identification.
  •  interacts with different divisions and departments at Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air on issues related to quality assurance.
  •  carries out specialized reviews and analyses, including audits of compliance and safety and/or system implementations.
  •  creates the team's culture through behavior reinforcement, presence, and action.
  •  I complete the other tasks I was given.
  •  knowledge, training, and abilities pertinent to the position.

 Required.

  •  a minimum of five years' worth of expertise in operational leadership or business process auditing.
  •  two years' worth of managerial experience.
  •  a bachelor's degree with a concentration in a field pertinent to this position, or two additional years of education or experience in its place.
  •  strong process-driven analytical abilities, as well as a strong safety advocate.
  •  superbly effective communication (e. g. as well as verbal, written, and listening skills.
  •  able to multitask and work independently in a busy environment. Detail-oriented and well-organized.
  •  working familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, e. g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Publisher).

  •  understanding of quality assurance programs, including trends, data collection techniques, and root cause analysis.

 Pay Slope.

  •  $108,200 - $167,800 / year.

 Expense Information.

 Pay will be based on a number of factors, including but not limited to location, relevant experience/level, and skillset, while balancing internal equity in relation to other Alaska/Horizon employees.
