 The Wells Fargo cryptographic team offers and supports the services for corporate solutions for encryption, tokenization, and cryptographic key management. We are seeking a Lead Information Security Engineer with extensive process automation experience to join our team. You must be a role model for the other members of the team and be an effective leader. It will be required of you to deliver automated solutions for business processes, software, and hardware. You'll also develop into an expert on a variety of solutions, training and supporting team members, users, and other team members in addition to taking on leadership responsibilities.

 In this role, you'll:.

  •  Provide technical and professional direction to less experienced staff members. Each team member must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively because of the fast-paced environment that encryption technologies create.
  •  have daily responsibility for designing, engineering, automating, and managing the cryptographic infrastructure. This infrastructure consists of Windows and Linux servers, software and hardware-based appliances, and Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) to provide cryptographic capabilities across the entire Wells Fargo organization.
  •  Utilizing your knowledge of market-leading security solutions and best practices, implement one or more information security components, including automation, availability, integrity, confidentiality, risk management, threat identification, modeling, monitoring, incident response, access management, and business continuity.
  •  Participate in the creation, testing, design, and implementation of sophisticated information protection technologies alongside other teams within our company.
  •  Investigate incidents on a technical level to identify their causes and offer potential solutions.
  •  Ensure that requests for technological or product improvements are in line with Wells Fargo's requirements by working with vendors to comprehend their roadmap and contribute to its development.
  •  To find and fix security flaws, collaborate with other engineering teams. To ensure that corporate security policies and best practices are followed, it is also possible to conduct risk analyses of infrastructure.
  •  There will be some after-hours work required, so offer a rotating 24/7 on-call support service.
  •  Produce technical/engineering documentation and have excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
  •  In cases of incredibly complex events, control the incident response process.

 Credentials are necessary.

  •  5+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent, as demonstrated by any one or a combination of the following: training, education, work experience, and/or military service.
  •  using tools like Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, VBScript, JavaScript, UI Path, etc. for four years or more. for intermediate to advanced level automation and scripting.
  •  5+ years of experience managing Unix/Linux systems, with in-depth knowledge of OS tuning, OS hardening, and OS troubleshooting.
  •  using encryption or tokenization tools for at least three years.
  •  experience creating, running, and/or sustaining hardware security modules or security appliance devices for at least two years.
  •  sophisticated knowledge of cryptographic protocols and algorithms.
  •  understanding of tokenization, transparent data encryption (TDE), and format-preserving encryption (FPE).
  •  possessing information about, and practical experience with, implementing infrastructure upgrades, security patches, and version upgrades for systems, appliances, and HSMs.
  •  a working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies.
  •  a track record of success using change and incident management strategies in medium- to large-scale enterprise environments.

  •  Understanding of, and aptitude for, successfully functioning in a large-scale, complex, and time-constrained information security organization.
  •  understanding of Linux and Windows server environments for application support.

  •  a working knowledge of advanced scripting, especially in the areas of log rotation, data collection, error collection, and alerting.
  •  expertise and knowledge in installing version upgrades, security patches, and infrastructure upgrades.
  •  understanding how to use the Thales CipherTrust Cloud Key Manager (CCKM).
  •  experience designing, creating, and implementing synthetic transactions for the monitoring of infrastructure and/or applications.
  •  understanding of automation tools like Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or others.
  •  experience with public clouds in engineering or customer service.
  •  knowledge of and familiarity with Splunk.
  •  knowledge and comprehension of key management and cryptographic technologies.
  •  understanding of the banking industry or financial services.
  •  the capacity to organize and coordinate the completion of several tasks while upholding strict deadlines.
  •  practical experience in the development of applications.

  •  Ability to work on-call or after regular business hours as directed by the team's on-call rotation.
  •  Possibility of traveling up to 5% of the time.
