- We are looking for an accomplished, outgoing, and highly motivated senior facilities professional to join our team and oversee the facilities maintenance of Apple's retail stores in the AMR Central and South East region.
Important Qualities.
- With a focus on developing and/or maintaining exceptional retail spaces or workplaces, I have 7+ years of experience in construction and facilities management.
- a track record of developing thorough preventative maintenance plans and the tools to closely monitor them in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- understanding of all technical services, including their planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution, required to maintain and improve buildings. This includes maintenance services for the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls, fire alarm, janitorial, landscaping, flooring, lighting, furniture, warehousing, pest control, interior plants, and call centers.
- the capacity to balance operational risk and investment while continually seeking the best possible balance between quality and cost.
- Proven leadership and communication skills, including expertise in working with different organizational levels and the ability to respectfully and effectively resolve customer service issues involving staff.
- Diagnosis, management, and resolution of maintenance issues with speed and effectiveness.
- having connections with teams in charge of facility operations, utility providers, governmental bodies, architectural and design firms, and general contracting firms.
- You must be centrally located to a major hub of retail stores in order to survey and support maintenance at each assigned store at least twice a month.
Description.
- The facilities manager should have previous experience in facilities management and a proven track record of managing buildings as outstanding retail locations while offering the best value. In the AMR Central and South East region, the position will be in charge of the facilities services for Apple retail stores.
- Engage and support the region's retail businesses actively at all times, attend to their needs, and visit the establishments at least twice a month to conduct thorough service reviews and to supervise all significant work.
- Perform routinely scheduled, structured site visits to each of the assigned store locations in collaboration with leadership from the store, market, and global retail support to identify and document all store experience issues.
- Work with the suppliers and vendors to successfully meet the needs of the store with the maintenance services that were contracted.
- To ensure that operations are provided in a timely and cost-effective manner, lead facilities will coordinate the response to emergencies that may impact operations. They will also help staff members and contractors.
- Giving regular, prescriptive feedback will help cross-functional teams in real estate, design, innovation, standards, merchandising, direct sourcing, security, ISandamp;T, and other areas achieve functional and operational excellence for all projects and programs.
- an in-depth understanding of, and experience with, operating and maintaining buildings, landscapes, machinery, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- being in charge of developing the Opex and Capex budgets, managing them through the Service Channel and other tools, and producing forecasts for the relevant Geo.
- supervision of commissioning representatives and independent contractors to support store acceptance and program turnover of various projects.
- WO management system, weekly check-ins, ongoing evaluation through store tours, and financial performance are used for direct management of key vendors.
- Engagement of general contractors, consultants, vendors, and maintenance service providers, including competitive bidding and support during negotiation of SOWs, CPSAs, and project-specific contracts.
- Review of all proposals and requests for change orders from vendors, contractors, and other service providers.
- Collaboration with the Development and RDDM design teams on a regular basis to offer a feedback loop that is constantly being improved to enhance building functionality and material choice.
Knowing and Doing.
- Bachelor's degrees in engineering are preferred, particularly in mechanical, electrical, industrial, or construction management.
