The main objective of this role is the development or modification of software applications based on software specifications or, in the case of incident resolution, the results of analysis. The position also entails designing moderately to complex software and writing software specifications. respects the development and coding guidelines that the team has established. As part of project teams, software is designed and coded to follow requirements and specifications. collaborates with knowledgeable programmers and mentors junior staff as required. updates project activities on progress frequently and/or takes part in status meetings.
• Examines moderately complex application development problems and provides technical solutions.
• Creates documents for functional requirements, gap analysis, and design.
• Creates prototypes, designs, and test plans for testing new and/or existing systems, as well as applies best practices to those designs.
• Writes programs and specifications for moderately complex technical applications and modules.
• Works with management and architects to develop the best technical plan possible for the project at hand.
• Gathers requirements and develops cost models to estimate project work.
• Produces or modifies sophisticated application software in a high-quality, timely, and cost-effective manner, in accordance with specifications.
• Completes tasks involving medium-to-complex design and creates software specifications.
• Completes highly complex tasks.
• Upholds company-wide standards for coding, unit testing, and documentation.
• Establishes priorities and sees them through to completion in order to produce results.
• Creates user guides, help files, and release notes for software.
• Assures proper version control of the application software code.
• Performing software application testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Resolves production support issues as soon as they arise, even after regular business hours.
• Effectively communicates work status with manager, peers, and internal customers as needed. Also raises challenges, concerns, questions, and issues as needed.
• Collaborate with senior developers to produce documents for standard processes and support.
• Keeps abreast of new technologies and helps the management team to articulate their benefits and drawbacks.
• Helps junior staff members organize their daily tasks by giving them technical and business guidance.
• Fully grasps network technologies, distributed infrastructure, and database architecture to develop scalable and dependable solutions for the business.
• Configures and installs software and code in accordance with the policies and practices of change management.
• Performs code and design reviews to ensure that the functional and quality requirements are met for the deliverables.
Requirements for education and experience.
• Experience in a related field and a bachelor's degree in information technology are prerequisites.
•Relevant certifications (Oracle, IBM, Microsoft, etc. is favored.
It takes 5+ years of steadily improving experience in an IT environment.
