OUR NEED FOR YOUR SUPPORT (SUMMARY AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES).

 Delta is seeking a driven and knowledgeable data privacy specialist for our privacy team. The Director of Privacy and Data Protection at Delta will be in charge of the Data Privacy Specialist, who will be in charge of governance and operational tasks that protect the privacy of the airline's customers and employees. To achieve this, privacy by-design principles will be implemented throughout the entire organization, including subsidies, by working with Delta's business partners and conducting privacy impact assessments (PIAs), post-production validations, and starting transfer impact assessments (TIAs). The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about privacy laws and regulations, possess significant program or project management expertise, and be skilled in communicating with stakeholders at all levels.

 Important responsibilities include.

 On behalf of the organization's Director of Privacy and Data Protection, assist in the administration and management of Delta's data privacy program. Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and transfer impact assessments (TIAs) for projects that involve the processing of personal data. Work with Delta business units, including subsidiaries, to make sure that privacy laws and regulations are followed. You can identify privacy risks, take action to reduce them and ensure that privacy is taken into account when designing all business procedures and projects by collaborating with cross-functional teams. Plan external audits to make sure Delta's privacy program is being followed.

 Minimum requirements: WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED.

  •  possess a bachelor's degree in business, law, computer science, or a related field.
  •  4+ years of experience working in a compliance, privacy, or related field.
  •  strong familiarity with all relevant privacy rules and laws, such as the CCPA, GDPR, and others.
  •  working knowledge of TIAs (transfer impact assessments) and PIAs (privacy impact assessments).
  •  understanding of how to incorporate privacy by design principles into the design of services, digital products, and business processes.
  •  Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex privacy concepts to stakeholders who aren't techies.
  •  powerful project management and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities simultaneously.
  •  an understanding of various technologies besides Microsoft Office software.
  •  having an understanding of privacy controls, processes, and policies.
  •  extremely strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  •  being able to work in a team and independently.
  •  gives personal data security and safety more importance than the safety of others and oneself.

  •  possesses a high school diploma, a GED, or an equivalent.
  •  possesses legal authorization to work in the US and is at least 18 years old.
