Delta is looking for a driven and knowledgeable data privacy specialist to join our privacy team. The Data Privacy Specialist will report to Delta's Director of Privacy and Data Protection Officer and perform privacy impact assessments (PIAs), post-production validations, starting transfer impact assessments (TIAs), and interact with the company's business partners to implement privacy by design principles throughout the organization, including funding. A candidate should be proficient in privacy laws and regulations, have experience managing projects or programs, and be able to communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels.

 Among the principal responsibilities are.

 assist the company's director of privacy and data protection with the implementation and management of Delta's data privacy program. Transmit impact assessments (TIAs) and personal information assessment (PIAs) when working on projects that handle personal data. assist the business divisions of Delta, including its subsidiaries, in adhering to all pertinent privacy laws and rules. Work with cross-functional teams to identify and address privacy risks, and to make sure that privacy considerations are taken into account when designing all business procedures and projects. To ensure that Delta's privacy program is being followed, consider external audits.

 Minimum conditions must be met in order to succeed.

  •  a bachelor's degree in business, law, computer science, or an equivalent field.
  •  having spent at least five years working in compliance, privacy, or a related field.
  •  knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including the GDPR, CCPA, and other rules pertaining to privacy.
  •  proficiency in conducting transfer impact assessments (TIAs) and privacy impact assessments (PIAs).
  •  knowledge of designing services, digital products, and business processes with privacy by design principles in mind.
  •  Outstanding communication abilities, including the ability to explain complex privacy concepts to stakeholders who are not technically minded.
  •  Strong leadership and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at once.
  •  a working understanding of technologies besides the Microsoft Office software.
  •  understanding of privacy controls, processes, and policies.
  •  excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  •  having the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a group.
  •  puts one's own and other people's safety ahead of that of personal data.
