Operations Analytics (OA) is tasked with assisting in this mission by providing strategic insights by first understanding business processes and later utilizing data and analytics to aid ongoing improvement initiatives.
As a result of data, Delta's operations have changed. Making data available, accessible, and carefully curated for reporting and analysis is the responsibility of a data engineer. Within Delta's Operations Analysis and Performance (OAP) division, data engineering teams typically carry out the following duties: curating Single Source of Truth data tables for analytics teams to use, producing and distributing automated reporting in a modular and scalable way, leading initiatives to transition to modern data and reporting tools, and acting as a center of expertise for efficient data processing and management.
Responsibilities:.
- Find and gather data from a range of sources for analysis, modeling, and project development.
- In order to organize and curate datasets, create meaningful hierarchies from views. Investigate new data sources, work with other business units to identify the most reliable data source, and look into new data sources.
- An understanding of data environments is a must, and you should collaborate with others to improve automated reports and analyses to help business units and divisional leaders.
- Utilize state-of-the-art tools and actively look for efficient, perceptive ways to communicate data and analysis in order to satisfy divisional requirements.
