  •  The Cybersecurity SIEM Engineer will design, implement, and manage a Splunk SaaS SIEM within the Logging and Detection Engineering team while also integrating other technologies and platforms.

 ROLE.

  •  to assist departmental teams working on other SOC-related projects, develops original Splunk applications.
  •  creates personalized detections to look for and alert to threat actor activity.
  •  writes original Python code to link applications with cloud platforms like Event Hubs.
  •  combines regional and global SIEMs using Splunk and non-Splunk environments.
  •  creates a roadmap for innovation, maturity enhancements, and logging gap closure.
  •  collaborates with the Enterprise Monitoring team to plan platform integration.

 REQUIRED.

  •  a minimum of five years' experience, at least three of which were spent working directly with Splunk applications.
  •  an understanding of data models in relation to SIEMs, log parsing, and Splunk.
  •  knowledge of programming and scripting languages. It's best to know Python.
  •  practical knowledge of working in a DevOps or DevSecOps environment to develop software.
  •  solid familiarity with the OAUTH, SAML, and Kerberos authentication protocols.
  •  working familiarity with Microsoft Windows and GNU/Linux.
  •  a thorough understanding of cloud computing, web technologies, and networking protocols.
  •  Flexible scheduling that takes into account the demands of the business and includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

 Recommended.

  •  Optimism and the capacity to guide and instruct other Splunk users.
  •  a Splunk certification or certifications.
  •  or more than one SANS certification.
