WHERE YOU'RE GOING TO BE.
- One of the most crucial tasks performed by the cybersecurity incident response team for IT security is responding to detected or reported security incidents. The team develops and releases executive communications, analyzes data to determine the impact of security incidents, conducts investigations, gathers information, plans containment and responses, identifies recovery actions to prevent repeat incidents, and provides reporting and trending for these security incidents. We are looking for a qualified, experienced, and professional cybersecurity incident response coordinator to help us advance our incident response capabilities.
- The cybersecurity incident response coordinator will oversee coordination for the entire security incident lifecycle, including setting up communications upon event identification, working with IT teams to gather andamp; maintain appropriate resources to help in the phases of response, tracking the status of analysis performed by threat incident analysts and identified response actions, keeping IT Security teams updated on status & performing follow-ups, building & maintaining a security incident response infrastructure, and establishing andamp; maintaining a security incident response infrastructure. In this role, you will act as our primary contact for all cybersecurity incidents. You will encourage efficient cybersecurity operations practices throughout the IT organization in collaboration with other IT security leaders.
WHAT YOU SHALL NEED.
You must be able to lead cross-functional teams, ensuring that all pertinent data is taken into account while still getting them results quickly. Additionally, you must be able to regularly record business-related communications to inform stakeholders, including senior executives and technical teams. Our team is looking for individuals who are passionate about cybersecurity, intellectually curious, and eager to advance better solutions and produce results. We are seeking staff members with expertise in fostering a solid collaborative environment under duress and acting quickly and urgently in response to urgent security issues.
Successful candidates will have the following.
- At least five years of experience in IT security.
- a bachelor's degree in cyber security, information technology, information assurance, or a related field, or the equivalent in work experience.
- Experience in multifaceted coordination and communication roles (direct incident coordination experience, or cross-functional coordination roles like project or product ownership), achieving results quickly while ensuring that all relevant information is taken into account and stakeholders are kept informed.
- understanding of the entire lifecycle of security incident management techniques, including forensics, documentation, containment, restoration, and assessment.
Preferred qualifications.
- a master's degree in information assurance, information technology, or a related field, or the training equivalent.
- actual coordination experience with security incidents.
- Other credentials include CISSP and CompTIA Security+.
- familiarity with the NIST Cyber Security Framework (CSF), common security controls, their purposes, and the technologies that provide them.
