- This position is a member of the Information Technology Division's Information Technology Team.
- Responsible for assisting staff members with all facets of end-user computing, including software/hardware upgrades, installs, and general maintenance of PC desktop/laptop systems and peripherals.

What you'll actually do.
- Travel as necessary (up to 75% of the time).
- closes tickets and work orders pertaining to desktops and end-user peripherals.
- responds to issues with support that the Helpdesk has escalated.
- participates in desktop projects (global installs/upgrades) as a team member.
- diagnosing and resolving issues remotely using remote tools.
- works in conjunction with other departments to identify and fix infrastructure-related issues.
- Customer interactions should be documented by incident management systems, which also include asset management.
- performs hard drive data recovery and/or data migration.
- There is support for remote access for virtual private network connectivity, as well as wireless and broadband connectivity for laptops.
- installs and configures printers on both the local and network levels.
- carries out preventative maintenance.
- works a variety of shifts, is available on call on holidays, and makes trips as needed.
- respects management direction, IT policy, and procedures.
- demonstrates rising levels of initiative and leadership, spots opportunities for technical and process improvement, and is skilled at juggling multiple ongoing tasks.

The prerequisites are at least a high school diploma and work experience.
- an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or relevant work experience or training.
- 2 years of "hands-on" IT support and troubleshooting experience with a range of PC desktop software and hardware problems.
- providing direct assistance for desktop computers in a Windows/TCPIP setting.
Qualifications that are preferred include education and prior work experience.
- A+ rating.
- MCSE or MCP certification would be advantageous.
- IT infrastructure knowledge of the airline/airport environment.
Qualifications, permits, and certifications.
- knowledge of every Windows-based operating system, including Windows 10.
- a working knowledge of workflow and ticketing systems.
- comprehension of VPN connectivity and analytical abilities.
- possessing the ability to work independently as well as in a group setting.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
