What are you going to do? .
The Associate Data Scientist, Pricing and Revenue Management Decision Science (Remote Position Available) will be joining a team that uses operations research, statistical, machine learning, product management, data engineering, and programming skills to develop solutions to business problems. The data scientist will be able to directly observe the results of their own efforts and will work in a setting where putting forth fresh concepts is welcomed. The Data Scientist will collaborate with various teams in the Pricing and Revenue Management (PRM) division to identify business problems, conduct research, and implement solutions. These solutions could include process automation, the discovery of important new insights in data, and the implementation of a model to extract value from those insights. The team of data scientists and decision scientists will put a lot of effort into advancing ongoing system, process, and tool improvement as well as individual and team improvement.
The fundamental duties.
- Use operations research, statistical analysis, machine learning, product management, and programming expertise to design, carry out, and deliver advanced quantitative analyses and models that will inform decisions and actions taken by systems or by analysts.
- Use programming and data engineering skills to create data flows and pipelines, clean data, and deploy models to production.
- Work together with partner teams on pricing, yield management, ancillary services, etc. (to better comprehend the problems being addressed, improve current production models, develop new ones, and develop automated solutions.
- Share and present the findings of the analyses and models to the relevant parties, including the top management.
- Python, SQL, or other coding languages should be used primarily.
- Create hypotheses to test and determine what conclusions can and cannot be drawn from the results.
- Work with the other team members as a mentor.
- Workflows, models, and code should be documented. Code standards should be created and maintained.
- As required, offer assistance with reporting.

Qualifications.
- A bachelor's degree or higher is required in engineering, computer science, statistics, mathematics, economics, or a related field.
- A master's degree in computer science, data science, business analytics, or another analytically oriented program is preferred.
- SQL, Python, R, or other coding languages have been used professionally in the past.
- statistical analysis experience in a professional setting is required.
- 0–2 years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in a similar role or in airline pricing, yield- or revenue management, revenue analytics, or revenue systems is preferred.
Abilities, knowledge, and skills.
