•  possess a bachelor's degree in engineering, data science, operations research, computer science, mathematics, or a related field; failing that, possess equivalent knowledge or training.
•  programming knowledge in languages like R, Python, SQL, HTML, Java Script, and C for a period of one year.

 Education and previous work experience are preferred qualifications.

•  MS in mathematics, operations research, computer science, data science, or engineering.
•  applications like SAFE, MAP, DECS, SAP, APC, and others that are used for functional area and maintenance understanding.
•  working in a technical environment for at least two years.
•  knowledge of aviation.
•  a license for airframes and engines from the FAA, or something similar.
•  knowledge of the aviation and travel industries.
•  the ability to manage and compile data from a variety of sources to develop a thorough understanding of a business problem.
•  familiarity with recommender systems or text mining from the past.
•  Preference will be given to applicants who have demonstrated success in one or more of the fields below.
•  programming in Python or R.
•  Using Alteryx and Tableau, visualize and combine data.
•  Big data mining concepts and equipment.
•  knowledge of statistical, machine learning, and classification algorithms for predictive and prescriptive analytics.
